Southfield, MI - Amy C. Parker, DDS, MS, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Distinguished Dentist and in acknowledgment of her work at Amy C Parker DDS MS and Associates.
Amy C. Parker, DDS, MS, has been practicing Pediatric Dentistry for the past 37 years. She shares, “When it comes to caring for your child’s oral health, nothing becomes more important than finding an experienced, dedicated, and knowledgeable Pediatric Dentist.”
From a young age, Dr. Parker knew she wanted to go into the medical profession to help people. She loves working with children and soon realized that her calling was Pediatric Dentistry. To pursue her dreams, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan. Dr. Parker next attended Georgetown University, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1982. In 1984, she received a Certificate of Pediatric Dentistry and a Master of Science degree from the University of Detroit.
Later that year, Dr. Parker opened her private dental practice in Southfield, MI. Here, she provides general and cosmetic dentistry services to infants and kids of all ages and anxious or disabled children. She offers a wide array of dental services, including regular dental visits, endodontics, periodontal therapy, oral surgery, sedation dentistry, fluoride treatments, braces, teeth whitening, and more.
Dr. Parker was an Attending Dentist at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan for 33 years. She also taught the next generation of dental professionals as the Clinical Instructor of Dental Residents until 2004.
Dr. Parker was appointed to the Michigan Board of Dentistry from 2004-2008 by Former Michigan Governor Jennifer Grandholm. Actively involved with her local community, she has been a member of the Northeast Regional Board since 1982 and the Speciality Board for Pediatric Dentistry since 1984. She was previously a spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Parker was honored as a Diplomate and Fellow of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 1984. Today, Dr. Parker retains memberships with the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Michigan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Wolverine Dental Society.
In her free time, Dr. Parker loves to play tennis, golf, create art, play piano, and listen to jazz music. She is fluent in Armenian and English.
