Ms. Winterowd currently serves as the Vice President of Client Solutions for JE Dunn Construction, a privately-owned construction company with 25 offices. In her career, she has found much success as a versatile and accomplished project management, business development, and marketing professional. She has more than two decades of experience in facilitation, client relationship building and maintenance, business development, marketing, public relations, and leading strategic initiatives for globally practicing firms.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies in 1999 from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA, Ms. Winterowd began her career in the built environment with Spieker Properties. Subsequently, she moved to Yost Grube Hall Architecture where she excelled in her business development and marketing role from 2001 to 2016, and was the first non-technical professional to be elevated into the principal group. Ms. Winterowd then prospered as principal with PlanB Consultancy, Inc. from 2016 to 2018, and since 2018 as Vice President of Client Solutions with JE Dunn Construction, an industry leader in the application of preconstruction technology, virtual design, construction, and other emerging construction technologies.
Among her professional memberships and affiliations, Ms. Winterowd is a member of the Society for College and University Planning and is a past member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services. She has garnered numerous industry honors that include a Woman of Influence award from the Portland Business Journal in 2021 and a Woman of Vision Award from the Daily Journal of Commerce in 2017. In 2006 she published “Design-Build Institute of America.” She was recently recognized as one of the Top 50 Women Leaders of Oregon for 2022 by Women We Admire.
Avidly interested in industry and community affairs, Ms. Winterowd’s volunteer work includes membership on the Executive Leadership Team for the Heart Walk of Oregon and Southwest Washington, sponsored by the American Heart Association. In addition, she has served on the board of directors for the Architecture Foundation of Oregon, Business Diversity Institute, Greater Portland Inc. and advisory council for Design Museum Everywhere. She is additionally serving as co-chair for the SEMI Pacific Northwest Chapter
Ms. Winterowd cites growing the companies for which she is employed and diversifying their portfolios as a career highlight, such as assisting Yost Grube Hall Architecture acquire a contract with the U.S. Department of State. She is most proud of her work to elevate and grow others in their career as well as messaging the importance of representation to help with attracting a diversity of talent. In the coming years, she is considering chief operating officer roles—or alternatively, starting her own business.
