AZUCENA MARIN-DIAZ - LAWYER

Azucena Marín-Diaz is recognized by Continental Who’s Who among Lawyers. Azucena is a Partner with Cuesta Campos y Asociados, a Mexican law firm founded in 1978.

Azucena has been involved in the practice of Corporate Law and real estate transactions, with experience in a wide range of contracts and transactions involving domestic and multinational corporations, as well as for individuals mainly in the area of estate planning. Her areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, joint ventures, financing, and real estate.

Her involvement in real estate has included the sale and acquisition of industrial, residential, commercial and tourism properties and federal concessions, including such matters as real estate trusts, easements, sale/leasebacks, title insurance and condominium structuring. She has also worked closely on compliance, licensing and financing issues with companies in the electronics, pharmaceutical, alcoholic beverages, real estate and other strategic industries.
 
Due to her expertise and vast knowledge of the Law Profession, Azucena has been invited to speak at conferences mainly on legal due diligence, corporate governance, comparative law and international transactions organized by Universidad Panamericana, the Guadalajara branch of the American Chamber of Commerce and ANADE Jalisco. In addition, she has published articles on the Mexican consumer protection act and foreign investment.

Aside from her busy schedule at Cuesta Campos y Asociados, Azucena finds time for pro bono work is a member and Vice-president of the Board of the National Association of Corporate Lawyers in Jalisco (ANADE Jalisco) for the term 2010-2011. Azucena is also Honorary Secretary of the non-profit organization Fundación David Gutiérrez Carbajal (since 2004).

Azucena received her Law Degree from the Universidad Panamericana(Guadalajara Campus) in 1997. In 2001, She completed Graduate Studies in Companies and Business Corporations.
