
Hudson, NY- Carolyn Lafleur, MD, is being recognized by
Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Achiever in the field of Medicine
as an Anesthesiologist, Founder, and President at Medical Diplomats
International.
Incorporated in Pennsylvania in December of 2008, Medical
Diplomats International is a nonprofit organization that advocates for
outstanding surgical and perioperative care in established hospitals and
clinics in underserved areas globally, such as Jordan and India. They aim to
increase global access to health care by establishing a volunteer network of
relationships that works collaboratively with private, community, and
governmental institutions. Volunteers partake in one to two week missions,
participating at busy clinical practices and in social and cultural exchanges.
With more than thirty years’ experience, Dr. Lafleur
specializes in cardiac and general anesthesia. In addition to her work at
Medical Diplomats International, she attends to patients at Columbia Memorial
Hospital. Passionate about quality patient care, she attributes her success to
hard work and devotion.
Following an interest in healthcare, Dr. Lafleur earned a
medical degree at Tufts Medical School. She then completed an internship in surgery
at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital and a residency in anesthesia at St. Vincent
Hospital.
Remaining abreast of changes in her field, Dr. Lafleur
serves as a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
In her free time, Dr. Lafleur enjoys cats, gardening, and
traveling.
