From The Heart Candles LLC, a small home-based business located in Rye, NY, sells soy-based scented and non-scented candles. Quality products and exceptional customer service come before anything else. All candles are made in the USA using American soy wax beads, and using sustainable, renewable, and ethically produced materials. The products are safe, safe to the skin, Eco-friendly, and natural. Wicks are crafted from cotton threads interwoven with paper threads, avoiding pollution and creating a beautiful flame. Mrs. Smith and her husband Mr. John F. Smith are proud to sell high-quality candles, diffusers, essential oils, as well as seasonal artisan candles, such as Bug Be Gone, a citronella-based candle with fresh herbs, to ward off flying insects and much more.
After suffering a stroke, John, his family, and close friends were looking for ways to help with both physical and occupational therapy he could do at home. What started out as a hobby and therapy grew into From The Heart Candles LLC. In addition, due to separation from loved ones during the current pandemic, Mrs. Smith wanted to create a good way to make people feel less alone. Inspired by a poem, she wants to be a kind-hearted and caring “light” for people who are experiencing dark times.
To prepare for her career, Mrs. Smith earned an Associate’s Degree in Marketing and Management from the College of Westchester. She has previously worked as an Executive Administrative Assistant in companies ranging from very small to Fortune 500 companies. As she and her husband established their business in 2020, her most recent achievement was being featured in a local blog “Ryemarkable Moms.”
On a personal level, Mrs. Smith enjoys relaxing with Mr. Smith by their fire pit, listening to all types of music, enjoying the outdoors, camping, and binge-watching Netflix series.
She dedicates this honorable recognition to her wonderful husband of 27 years and her business partner, Mr. John F. Smith, and in Loving Memory of her dad Robert E. Coffrin.
