DR. SHAYANNA S. MUNGO - FOUNDER AND CONSULTANT

Clayton, NC - Dr. ShaYanna S. Mungo is being recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Business Professional for her work in Corporate Consulting and in acknowledgment of her work with The Institute for Dynamic Leaders.

Dr. Mungo earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, becoming the first college graduate in her family. She continued her education by completing a Master of Business Administration in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Business Administration in Project Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. She earned a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix, followed by certification as an Information Systems Security Professional, in 2019, from Everblue.

Dr. Mungo began her career with Bank of America, serving as a Change Manager in Business Management with the financial corporation from 2010-2011. From there, she has served in a variety of IT and Security Management roles for several corporations, including PNC Bank, GlaxoSmithKline, Allscripts, Deutsche Bank, NetApp, and IBM. She encourages students to set expectations in the business world and apply what they learn while being a college professor.

Since 2019, Dr. Mungo has served as a corporate team builder and organizational consultant with The Institute for Dynamic Leaders, focused on building solid and productive relationships within businesses and corporations. Her work involves helping to improve leaders' communication skills and educating them about the benefits of behavior modification to promote a more engaging, positive, and productive work environment. She states, "I help teams redesign how they interact, resolve conflict in a healthy way, and build trust for peak performance."

She is the proud mother of three children, particularly her daughter, Anaiya, who will graduate this year with two Associate's degrees and her diploma. Anaiya continues the education legacy as a 2nd generation graduate. Dr. Mungo uses the same soft skill development tools with organizational teams. She is excited that the soft skills developed accompanied by training have served so many individuals.

Dr. Mungo's successes did not occur without the support from more people than can be named here over the years. She shares that her accomplishments were not without heartbreak or disappointment, but with a growth mindset and a 'can do' attitude by taking a step back and focusing on a small step at a time. She states, "Even a small step is progress. While I take a step, I am motivated and celebrate when I notice success in others. I remind myself that 'hard' and 'impossible' are different but possible."
