San Antonio, TX/ Continental Who’s Who/- Dustin S. Whittenburg is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Legal Services as a result of his role as an Attorney and Owner of the Law Office of Dustin Whittenburg.

Dustin’s practice is focused on representing clients in a wide variety of matters pertaining to tax planning, tax controversy, and estate planning.  In this position, Dustin regularly assists clients with resolving federal and state tax controversies, and he has represented individuals, closely held businesses, and large corporations in IRS audits, appeals and litigation in the United States Tax Court and the United States District Court. In addition, Dustin has also represented taxpayers in disputes with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. He currently handles the formation of business entities and non-profit organizations, mergers and acquisitions, tax-free reorganizations, state and local taxes, as well as counseling taxpayers with regard to Code Section 7623(b).

Prior to establishing the Law Office of Dustin Whittenburg, Dustin worked at Cox Smith Matthews, Incorporated where his practice focused on complex tax planning, federal and state tax controversies, counseling non-profit entities, and matters related to executive compensation.

Throughout his educational career, Dustin earned his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law and graduated cum laude with his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. Furthermore, Dustin obtained his M.S. in Accounting and B.B.A. in Accounting and Finance where he graduated cum laude from Texas Tech University. 

He is presently a member of the Texas Bar Association, the Texas Tax Section, and the American Bar Association.  In addition he has been named as a Rising Star in Texas by Super Lawyer’s Magazine for 2012, 2013, and 2014.
