ELIZABETH K. BRODERICK, MD,FAAP - PEDIATRICIAN

Newport News, VA — Elizabeth Broderick, MD, FAAP, is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Pediatrician for her outstanding contributions in the field of Medicine and acknowledgment of her devotion to patient-centered care at Children’s Clinic, Ltd.

As the oldest pediatric clinic in Newport News, Children’s Clinic has been providing care to children since 1937. The pediatricians on-site at all four locations are dedicated to the highest standard of pediatric care in every area of a child’s care until 21 years of age. Children’s Clinic is now offering video telehealth visits for illness and medication follow up visits during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Broderick was also recently featured on her local news station WTKR Channel 13 talking about the importance of handwashing and social distancing and also about the new Battelle decontamination system being assembled in Newport News.  

Before her 20 years working with children in medicine, Elizabeth Broderick attended Medical School with Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and remained there for her residency. Board-certified in pediatrics and internal medicine, Dr. Broderick maintains focus in general pediatrics in children's health until the age of 22. She is interested in allergic diseases, anxiety, and depression. 

Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with a specialization in Biological Chemistry at the University of Virginia, Dr. Broderick went on to earn her Medical Degree and completed a residency with the Medical College of Virginia. Today, Dr. Broderick shares her knowledge and remains up to date with the latest developments in Pediatrics as a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Broderick and her team Dr. Julian H. Blalock, Jr, MD, Margaret V. Blanchard, MD, and Amanda M. Draper, MD have been honored with Top Doctor award published in Virginia Living.

Outside of work, Dr. Broderick enjoys reading, yoga, walking, spending time with her daughters when they are home from college, and caring for their pets. In her free time, she also donates to multiple charities including Avalon, Medicins Sans frontiers, and the American Red Cross.
