Dr. Salud is currently pioneering a protocol to help patients with dry macular degeneration which he feels is a misnomer, because degeneration indicates it is dead.

A graduate of Far Eastern University, Dr. Salud earned his Medical degree from the institution. He then went on to complete his post-graduate training in Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School as well as his fellowship in Ophthalmology at the University of Connecticut Medical School.
