Columbia, Canada - Jake S. Anthony is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who
as a Distinguished Disability Rights
Advocate, Consultant, and Motivational Speaker for his work.
Jake S. Anthony is a
Program Ambassador with the Autism Society of BC, where he has been developing
an autism referral network for communities across British Columbia and Canada.
Mr. Anthony works collaboratively to create partnerships and programming for the
organization. He is a public spokesperson who hosts monthly online information
sessions, support groups, interviews, and presentations.
Mr. Anthony specializes
in diversity and inclusion, the arts, and motivational speaking, and has over a
decade of experience in non-profit board leadership. As a person who identifies
with living with a disability, he is proud to use his experiences to serve on a
local, provincial, and national level to build a more inclusive, accessible,
and equitable society.
He is the Board
President of the Low Entropy Foundation and a Board Member of Disability
Alliance BC. Mr. Anthony is additionally the Director of the Board of Directors
for Community Living British Columbia (CLBC) since 2018. CLBC is a provincial
Crown Agency of the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction that
provides support and services to more than 23,000 people with disabilities
across British Columbia, as well as funding to over 300 non-profit service
providers through the provincial government.
Mr. Anthony is a Member
of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) and a member of the
Institute of Corporate Directors. He was previously the President & Board
Chair of Kickstart Disability Arts & Culture. He has recently been brought
on with Capilano University as an ASD Advisor in the Applied Behavior Analysis
Autism Program.
As a Public Speaker, Mr.
Anthony has been a guest lecturer for Capilano University’s Applied Behaviour
Analysis-Autism Program, has spoken at the 2017 Vancouver Au-Some Conference,
and co-hosted the 2018, 2019 and 2020 BC Autism Awards. For AutismBC in 2018, Mr. Anthony was the keynote speaker
for trailblazing scientist Dr. Temple Grandin.

Anthony.
