Wyoming, MI – Jeanette McDowell is being recognized by
Continental Who's Who as a Distinguished
Professional in the Mental Health field, acknowledging her outstanding work
as a Psychologist in private practice.
Dr McDowell has led a private psychology
practice for 30 years. Her areas of expertise are teaching, counseling, and
family and child psychology. Previously, she was a professor at St. Andrews
University in Laurinburg, NC. She also worked in the school system as a psychologist
and as a principal.
Before embarking on her professional journey, the doctor earned her Bachelor’s
degree in education from the University of the Southern Caribbean. She then
completed her Master’s degree in education and development psychology. Subsequently,
she received a Doctorate degree (Ph. D.) in counseling psychology.
Among her professional memberships and affiliations, Dr. McDowell is a member
of the American Psychological Association and the American Association of
Drugless Practitioners.
Looking back on her achievements, Dr. McDowell sees that her father played a
huge role in her success by encouraging her to receive a good education. Within
the next few years, she intends to write a book, travel, and conduct
presentations as a mentor, based on all that she has learned in her
professional career.
The doctor wishes to dedicate this recognition to her mother, Una McDowell.
