Cottonwood, AZ - Jennifer Christy, DO, is being recognized
by Continental Who’s Who as a Trusted Doctor for her work in the medical field
and in recognition of her work at Arc Health and Sage Memorial Hospital.
Ever since she was young, Dr. Christy knew she wanted to be
a doctor in order to help members of her community. She is passionate about
providing healthcare in rural areas where patients may have a harder time
accessing quality care. She tries to make it easier on her patients by
providing access to doctors in rural, tribal, or underserved areas. In her
current role, she is working on a Navajo reservation.
In her role as a Pediatrician, Dr. Christy works with children under the age of
21 for a wide variety of illnesses and injuries. She is often the first doctor
her young patients will see, and after examination, she can refer them to
specialists or emergency care. From infants to toddlers to adolescents, Dr.
Christy has expertise in helping children at every stage of their development.
Pediatricians see children for injuries, illnesses, maladaptations, sports
physicals, vaccinations, well visits, and more. They can be a family’s resource
for information about their child’s progress and growth, as Dr. Christy
regularly sees children for checkups. The American Academy of Pediatrics
recommends that children be under Pediatric care until age 21. Generally,
infants should be given monthly checkups, and older children should have a
visit to the doctor annually.
Dr. Christy has eight years of experience in the Medical field. She has
previously worked at other local hospitals, including PeaceHealth Ketchikan
Medical Center, PeaceHealth Pediatrics Alaska Neonatology Associates, and the
Phoenix Children’s Hospital Pediatrics - Cottonwood. Dr. Christy just started
her newest role at Arc Health in July 2021.

To obtain her career in Medicine, Dr. Christy attended Michigan State
University College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 2009. She then
completed a residency program at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Dr.
Christy is board-certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics
(ABP).
She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics in order to stay aware of
developments in the field. As a recognition for her exceptional skills, she has
