A respected voice in his area of expertise, Dr. John D Mikhail specializes in
Pulmonary Medicine with board certifications in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary
Medicine, and Critical Care. Pulmonology is a medical specialty that deals with
diseases involving the respiratory tract. Whereas internal medicine physicians
are primary-care doctors who treat a wide range of common illnesses in both
adult men and women. Dr. Mikhail’s area of expertise is in interstitial lung
diseases and pulmonary procedures including bronchoscopy, endobronchial
ultrasound, endobronchial stenting, navigational bronchoscopy, argon plasma
coagulation of endobronchial tumors, and transbronchial biopsies.
In recognition of his academic achievements, Dr. Mikhail attended Ross
University to achieve his MD, Jersey Shore University Medical Center to
complete his residency. As a medical professional he received his fellowship
from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
He also remains affiliated with the American College of Chest
Physicians, American Thoracic Society, and the Medical Society of NJ.
In his free time, he enjoys sports and traveling.
