Albuquerque, NM— Prominently featured in The Inner Circle, Dr. Julie
Harrigan is acknowledged as a Pinnacle Life Member for her contributions
to the Medical Field in both Consulting and Clinical Practice.
Dr. Harrigan pursued
higher education in Mexico where she earned an International Baccalaureate in
Physics and Mathematical Engineering, with a minor in Public Health. She
completed a Medical Doctor degree at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara,
Faculty of Medicine in Mexico by age 21 and her first year of residency in
Sonora, Mexico. Having moved back to the U.S. she then completed a second
medical residency at the University of New Mexico Hospital system and is
currently in the process of completing a Clinical Informatics fellowship
scheduled to be finished in 2024.
A prominent figure in the field of medicine, engaging in both consulting and
clinical practice in large healthcare systems, Dr. Harrigan’s contributions
span various areas of executive healthcare leadership, from electronic health
record implementations and standardization, quality of care advisory
consulting, evidence-based medicine practice consulting with regulatory and
oversight review and policy making. She is the founder of her own
consulting firm specializing in electronic health record implementation and
executive level oversight for standardization and best practice. She also
serves as a family practitioner hospitalist and is medical director for a
medical clinic and hospice care in Albuquerque, NM.
Dedicated to providing the latest innovations in her fields, Dr. Harrigan is
affiliated with various medical organizations, including the American Board of
Preventive Medicine; the Association of Medical Directors of Informatics and
the Society of Hospital Medicine, among others. She is also a prominent member
of the 12 provider Hospitalist Specialty Steering Board for Epic in Verona, WI.
In addition to her professional services, Dr. Harrigan is actively involved in
various community and charitable initiatives. She volunteers with the ASPCA;
has served as a two time board member for Make-A-Wish foundation, and has been
associated with organizations such as the New Mexico Alzheimer's Association,
March of Dimes and the American Heart Association.
When considering her illustrious career, Dr. Harrigan gives accolades to her
mentor, Dra. Alejandra Davalos for her support and guidance in becoming a
strong female in medical leadership. She expresses her appreciation to her
mother, Jody Cranton, RN, for her support throughout her career and helping her
keep a level head and always maintaining the utmost respect for her patients
and staff.
