KENNETH V. CHONG, MD - MUSCULOSKELETAL RADIOLOGIST/MEDICAL DIRECTOR

Sunnyvale, CA/ Continental Who’s Who/- Kenneth V. Chong, MD, is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Healthcare. Dr. Chong is the Diagnostic Radiologist/Medical Director at Emeryville Advanced Imaging with subspecialty training in musculoskeletal imaging.

A diagnostic radiology practice providing patients with first class imaging services with the help of state of the art imaging equipment, Emeryville Advanced Imaging offers Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), X-ray, and fluoroscopy exams to patients and referring physicians throughout Alameda County.

Dr. Chong has been in the industry for over eleven years. When asked what inspired him to enter healthcare, Dr. Chong states it was his “desire to help people and satisfaction in using his intellect and knowledge to diagnose illnesses.” Specializing in diagnostic and musculoskeletal radiology, he was initially interested in the field because of his own injuries sustained in practicing martial arts. Dr. Chong is an avid practitioner of Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

The recipient of a Star Award and a Voluntary Service Award from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Dr. Chong’s advice to young physicians entering the field is: “It’s a long path. You have to sacrifice a lot of time and be very studious in order to become a doctor’s doctor.”

A member of the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Leading Physicians of the World and International Association of Radiologists, Dr. Chong authored an article in the Journal of Palliative Medicine entitled “Types and Rate of Implementation of Palliative Care Team Recommendations for Care of Hospitalized Veterans” in 2004.

Dr. Chong earned his medical degree from New York Medical College, which was followed by an Internship in Internal Medicine at Winthrop University Hospital, Radiology Residency at Mount Auburn Hospital (Harvard affiliate), and musculoskeletal MRI fellowship at Beverly Radiology Medical Group and RadNet, Inc.
