Lakewood, CO/- Laura L. Padgett, M.A., is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Arts as a result of her role as CEO/Author, Speaker and Dancer with Laura L Padgett, LLC.

Upon retiring from the Office of Academic (Research) Grants from Regis University in 2010, Laura decided to follow her next career paths writing, teaching dance, storytelling, public speaking and hosting various functions and events around the country.

Moreover, Laura’s areas of expertise include storytelling, writing, public speaking, teaching, and dancing. She maintains affiliation with the National Association of Professional Women, National Sacred Dance Guild, Rocky Mountain Sacred Dance Guild, Alpha Sigma Nu, as well as Destination Dance in Wheat Ridge, CO and the North Highland Presbyterian Church in Denver, CO, where she is the Deacon.

She is the author of “Dolores, Like the River,” her first book that spent twelve weeks on Westbow Press Best Seller List.  She has been the recipient of multiple industry-related awards. Laura was recognized as a 2014 NAPW VIP Woman of The Year, and was a finalist in Harpstrings Magazine for fictional short stories in both 2013 and 2014.

Additionally, Laura came in second place in a national writing contest with Xulon Press for her short story, “Mama’s Ring” in 2012. In 2003, Laura was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit Honor Society, and was recognized with an Excellence in Communication Award in her Regis University Undergraduate Program. She holds several gold and silver medals in Irish Dance, as well as prizes for competitions in tap dance and clogging.

A graduate of Regis University, Laura earned her MA in Storytelling through Creative Movement and BA in Communication with emphasis in Conflict Management/Negotiations/Leadership. She also holds certifications in Operating Room Technology, Medical Records Technology and Medical Transcription. Outside of work, Laura enjoys travel, dance, public speaking, blogging, writing, and knitting.
