LEE OSBORNE - PRESIDENT

Cedar Bluff, VA — Lee Osborne is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Top Pinnacle Executive in the Mineral Processing Industry and in acknowledgment of his pioneering work with Ceramic Technology, Inc., establishing the CTI-X7® brand of Ceramic Processing Equipment.

With an impressive 47 years of experience in the mining and mineral processing industries, Mr. Osborne has become a highly respected expert and leader in the equipment contract manufacturing field. In 1985, he founded Ceramic Technology Inc. (CTI) to improve quality and product reliability for equipment used within the mineral processing industry. Mr. Osborne with his team developed innovative ceramic liner technology for mineral processing equipment, which dramatically reduced abrasion within the equipment and increased operational productivity. This ultimately resulted in fewer equipment breakdowns and maintenance costs for his customers. Ceramic Technology’s patented CTI-X7® Performance Standard brand is now considered a benchmark within the mineral processing industry that established a 25 to 1 performance ratio.

Under his leadership, CTI has grown into an internationally recognized name within the mineral processing industry. The company’s team of engineers is tasked with custom-designing, fabricating, and delivering all of the CTI-X7® equipment to meet the specifications of their customers.

In pursuit of his engineering career, Mr. Osborne obtained a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Arts and Technology from Berea College in 1975. He spent four years in operational design with Clinchfield Coals Engineering Department following. From there, he moved into the company’s Project Management and Maintenance. In 1981, he was promoted to Plant Superintendent, where he worked with a team of 60 employees.

Four years later, Mr. Osborne decided to branch out and start Ceramic Technology to operate within the coal mining and other mineral processing industries. He states, “Over the next 36 years, our team focused as a Class “A” Contractor developing the CTI-X7® Ceramic Process Equipment Brand that is currently well known as a benchmark performer and is now operating from Hudson Bay to Tampa Bay, focusing on Gold, Coal, Phosphate and Potash operational processing.”

Mr. Osborne considers among his most significant accomplishments is that he assembled such an excellent team of engineers and technicians for his company, which now holds six patents; and the fact that he has never missed a payroll.  He states, “We are a performance based company, and we take pride in our committed team that is determined to define innovative performance technology, while building the CTI-X7® Brand.”
