A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Platteville, Mr. Mark Edwards holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Communications with a minor in Business Management. He began his career in Lacrosse, Wisconsin, in equipment sales at ABDick/Savin, moving to commercial printing sales at Marathon Press in Wausau. In 1981 he joined the American Standard Printing Group in Dallas, Texas. He served at a number of major printing companies in roles as a planner, estimator, buyer, manager of customer services, and plant manager. When desktop publishing transformed the printing industry, Mr. Edwards pivoted his career into supply chain management. Following this, Mr. Edwards served as a material control associate and buyer for GTE. After the GTE merger with Bell Atlantic creating Verizon Communications, he received his C.P.M. (certified purchasing manager) and excelled in the supply chain as a specialist buyer and planner in commercial markets, international, COE, and outside plant groups. Similarly, he also worked in the same capacity for Frontier Communications when his group was sold. He then served as a supply planner II for Coca-Cola Refreshments Inc. and Coca-Cola SW Beverages from 2010 to 2020.
From supply chain management to the commercial printing industry and account management, Mr. Edwards has garnered decades of professional excellence in each endeavor. He credits his success to his tenacity and his ability to reinvent himself as needed. In his current capacity, Mr. Edwards began working with his wife, Laine, when she co-founded Permit Pros, LLC. He utilizes his experience and knowledge, in addition to his CPM, to excel in his role as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President.
As a testament to his professional excellence, Mr. Edwards was the recipient of a lifetime CPM in 2017. Over the years of his commercial printing career, he was granted 13 “Certificate of Merit” in annual International Graphics Art Award competitions.
In his spare time, Mr. Edwards enjoys downhill skiing, fly fishing, woodworking, growing roses, orchids, and gardening in the greenhouse on his property.
