Darien,
IL ‒ Matt Farrell is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Distinguished
Executive for his work throughout multiple industries and in
acknowledgment of his work as the CEO of AMM Distributors, Inc.
As a
visionary and three-time founder, Matt Farrell is habitually early in emerging
markets, and is a recognized industry leader in the cannabis field. To start
off his career, Mr. Farrell began working in sports arbitrage while still in
high school - developing an extensive syndicate until regulatory enforcement
reduced the business’ capacity in 2007.
Mr.
Farrell then went on to Co-launch a burgeoning Segway tour business. Working as
the Director of Business Development at Absolutely Chicago Segway Tours from
2008-2013, he provided thousands of clients with a fun, eco-friendly way to
view the architecture in his hometown of Chicago.
While
at Absolutely Chicago Segway, he negotiated a multi-million-dollar government
land restoration project across 2,884 acres in southcentral Illinois. In cooperation
with the National Resources and Conservation Center, he oversaw the planting of
2.2 million trees. This restored native flora and fauna in the newly designated
federal wetlands area, providing ecosystem benefits to 160,000 surrounding
acres. As a managing member of Lucky Outfitters, he built a service-oriented
business to generate additional revenue on the restored acres, which had become
home to native wildlife. Mr. Farrell promoted low-pressure mature whitetail
hunting opportunities to high-end clients visiting the Midwest, while
maintaining an 82% retention rate over seven years.
Mr.
Farrell divested from Lucky Outfitters in 2019, and began a new role as the COO
and Operation Team Leader at 3M in Southern Illinois. 3M provides ancillary
services for local farmers seeking to grow industrial hemp as an alternative
crop. As the number of aspiring cannabis growers skyrocketed when federal
rescheduling of Industrial Hemp was legislatively passed, Mr. Farrell became
invested in the industry. He also became the CEO of AMM Distributors, Inc., in
2019, where he leads a talented team toward success.
Mr.
Farrell attributes his success to his altruistic traits that led to the
development of an extensive network and working through adversity, not avoiding
it. In his spare time, he likes to fish, travel, and as an autodidactic, he has
been reading and teaching himself about history. He loves to spend time with
his fiancé and their two children, ages 7 and 8.
