RHONDA LAMBERT TREADWELL - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Memphis, TN - Prominently featured in Continental Who's Who, Rhonda Lambert Treadwell is acknowledged as a Pinnacle Professional Member Inner Circle of Excellence for her contributions to Empowering Women Through Nonprofit Leadership.

Rhonda Lambert Treadwell, a dedicated nonprofit leader, has made significant strides in empowering women in Memphis through her work at Dress for Success Memphis. As Executive Director since 2017, she provides essential services including interview and work-appropriate attire, career services, and development programs tailored specifically for women.

Ms. Treadwell holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, cum laude, from Knoxville College and has pursued graduate studies at both the University of Tennessee and the University of Memphis. Her extensive experience in executive leadership, nonprofit administration, and community development has positioned her as a key figure in local initiatives.

An active member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. since 1977, Ms. Treadwell also serves as the financial secretary for the Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. Memphis Chapter and is heavily involved with the New Salem Missionary Baptist Church. Additionally, she is a member of the Black-Led Nonprofit Leadership Alliance with the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis.

Throughout her career, Ms. Treadwell has revitalized Dress for Success Memphis and has held various leadership roles, including Business Development Specialist at Maximus and Program Manager of Job Development and Training at Bridges USA, Inc. Her commitment to community service extends to her roles as Youth Services Manager and Director of Career Placement Services in local workforce development initiatives.

Ms. Treadwell expresses gratitude to her mentors, including Maeola Killabrew, Dr. Pam McCoy, and Johnsie Wallace Gault, who have guided her throughout her journey. She is also thankful for her husband, Dwight Treadwell, Sr., author of The American Dream Door to Door Millionaires, and their children, Candice, Dwight Treadwell Jr., and Robert Treadwell Sr.

Looking ahead, Ms. Treadwell aims to establish a sustainable budget for Dress for Success Memphis, expand the volunteer base, and enhance corporate engagement to ensure that the organization’s services continue to benefit women in Memphis and Shelby County. Her philosophy is centered on making a positive impact on the community and supporting women in their transitions to the workforce.
