Triple board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonology, and Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Prager holds more than 45 years of expertise in the medical profession. He has been in practice in Florida since 1984, serving residents of South Florida. For 16 years, Dr. Prager has served as the Medical Director of the Jackson South Community Hospital, where he oversees the hospital's intensive care unit. He served as the ICU Medical Director at Baptist Hospital of Miami from 1999 to 2006.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Prager and his team of healthcare professionals worked tirelessly to provide care to unprecedented numbers of critically ill patients from the South Florida region, which became an outbreak epicenter. During the pandemic, Florida had more COVID patients hospitalized than any other state in the country at one point, and the hospitals of South Florida were particularly hard hit.

Dr. Prager holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of Michigan. He attended the Chicago Medical School Rosalind Franklin University School of Medicine and was awarded his Medical Degree in 1977. He then completed his internship and residency training at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. To further his medical training, the doctor also completed a fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at Long Beach Veterans Administration Hospital and a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Jacksonville Memorial Medical Center.

The doctor is board-certified in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. The ABIM is a physician-led non-profit independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. To remain abreast of the latest developments in his field, Dr. Prager holds active memberships with the American Thoracic Society and the American College of Physicians-Internal Medicine. He is also a board member of the International Maritime Health Association.

In recognition of his medical achievements, Dr. Prager was honored by the International Association of Healthcare Professionals and featured in the association's publication The Leading Physicians of the World. The doctor is also recognized among the Top 25 Innovators in Health Imaging and IT.

Outside of work, he enjoys reading and poetry in his spare time.
