ROBIN R. NELSON - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Battle Ground, WA - Prominently featured in Continental Who's Who, Robin R. Nelson is acknowledged as a Pinnacle Professional Member Inner Circle of Excellence for her contributions to Therapeutic Horse-Assisted Recovery and Palliative Care.

For more than four decades, Robin R. Nelson has been dedicated to nursing, therapeutic care, and consulting, with a focus on recovery and palliative care. As the Executive Director of the Grace Therapeutic Horse Program for the past 25 years, she has transformed the lives of children and adults through equine-assisted therapy, working alongside a dedicated team of volunteers.

Ms. Nelson earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pacific Lutheran University in 1981 and is EAGALA-certified through the National Certification for Horse Therapy, equipping her with specialized expertise in trauma recovery, addiction support, and PTSD treatment. Her ability to forge deep connections with her clients has earned her significant recognition in the field, making her a trusted name in therapeutic care.

Her career spans decades of service, including more than 20 years working with individuals struggling with homelessness and drug addiction on the streets of Portland. She cites her most remarkable achievements as her resilience, determination, and the construction of a large indoor therapeutic arena, which has provided a safe and healing space for those in need.

Ms. Nelson’s dedication has been recognized through multiple honors, including the Royal Neighbors Award from the Nation of Neighbors Program and the Person of the Community Award, a testament to her impactful work in healthcare and therapy.

Looking ahead, Ms. Nelson plans to expand her volunteer and philanthropic efforts, focusing on helping individuals heal in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. She is committed to creating inclusive, compassionate environments that foster recovery, healing, and hope.
