
Youngstown, OH — Sayed M. Yossef, MD, is being recognized by
Continental Who's Who as a Distinguished Healthcare Professional for his
outstanding contributions to the medical field through his work in Hepatology
and Gastroenterology.
As a fellowship-trained Hepatologist and board-certified
Gastroenterologist with 30 years of experience in his field, Dr. Yossef
specializes in diagnosing and treating disorders affecting the liver, biliary
tree, gallbladder, and pancreas, and diseases affecting the GI tract.
His private practice, Southwoods Physician Services, is
located at 3304 Stones Throw Ave., in Poland, OH, providing advanced endoscopy
and colonoscopy procedures to detect and treat a range of gastrointestinal
disorders such as GI cancer, Celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease,
functional bowel disorders, pancreatic diseases, and disorders of the
esophagus.
Dr. Yossef has been practicing medicine since 1993,
following in the footsteps of many family members who are physicians. One of
his four children is currently in medical school, continuing his family's
medical legacy. Possessing a great passion for his work, Dr. Yossef strives to
pass his enthusiasm and quest for knowledge on to the medical students he
teaches as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Northeast Ohio Medical School. He
feels the key to success as a physician is rooted in actively listening to
one's patients and treating each one with utmost respect and kindness.
In pursuit of his medical career, Dr. Yossef earned his
Medical Degree at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He traveled to the
United States and completed his Internal Medicine Residency and GI Fellowship
at Pittsburgh Allegheny Hospital.
During his free time, he enjoys playing golf and mentoring
students. The physician is also involved in numerous charitable organizations,
including ones focusing on funding education for children in underprivileged
areas of Cambodia. He is also a financial donor and active supporter of clean
water projects in his native Egypt.
