TRACY ALEXIS, PH.D. - PSYCHOLOGIST AND AUTHOR

Albuquerque, NM - Tracy Alexis, Ph.D. is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a Distinguished Industrial/Organizational Psychologist and Author, and in acknowledgment of her work in private practice.

With over 25 years of experience, Tracy Alexis, Ph.D., is a respected Industrial/Organizational Psychologist and Author. She is the author of Interstitial Cystitis: A Personal Journey of COMPLETE Healing! Dr. Alexis lived with Interstitial Cystitis (IC) and fibromyalgia for many years due to a vehicle accident that caused her bladder’s death. She participated in a medical focus group with IC sufferers, urologists, and gynecologists and researched how to heal her body from a condition physicians allege is “incurable.” In her book, she recommends herbs, vitamins, supplements, diet, rest, and exercise that can significantly benefit IC sufferers.

Dr. Alexis attended The University of New Mexico, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in anthropology in 2003. She then attended Rio Verde University, earning her M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and received her diploma in 2010.

During the late 1990s and early 2000s, she worked as a contract Project Administrator and Project Manager with the United States Postal Service and shortly thereafter, with Sandia National Laboratories on its Mentor/Protégé Program. She went on to excel as Development Director of St. Martin’s Hospitality Center, followed by working as Development Director for Abrazos Family Support Services (2013 to 2015) and then briefly served as Development Director for a national nonprofit in 2016, which put her strong convictions to the test over which she prevailed.

During her graduate studies, she received a 2010 New Mexico Business Weekly Women of Influence Award for working with Albuquerque’s homeless population. Dr. Alexis was a Member and Programs Co-Chair on the Board of Directors for the Albuquerque Chapter of Executive Women’s International (2012 to 2017) and served on the Sandstone Housing Board of Directors (2014 to 2022). During the last three years (2019 to 2022), Dr. Alexis has led Sandstone Housing as its Board President, morphing a fairly dysfunctional team into a well-synchronized Board of Directors focused on providing safe, affordable, quality housing on the Navajo Reservation. She is also a Leadership Albuquerque Alumnus of the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce.

In 2016, following a brief brush with breast cancer and a national nonprofit Directorship that necessitated the instantiation of her integrity, Dr. Alexis shifted her career to begin her consultancy as a “Solopreneur,” assisting various industries and businesses by leveraging her uncanny critical analysis, deductive reasoning, leadership, and executive coaching of Successful Cross-Functional Teambuilding, Diversity Equity Inclusion (and Social Justice), and Sexual Harassment, to mention a few of her more salient business foci.

Dr. Alexis has been a repeat featured guest on K. Rochelle’s Podcast Series: Living Beyond the Pain and a Podcast guest on Living Fabulously with Bev and others. She was a featured presenter at the 2021 “Moms Who Pee Their Pants Summit: The Bladder Diaries!” a three-day virtual summit for UTI and IC sufferers. She is currently exploring opportunities as a TEDx and TED-style presenter.
