Uraiwan Srisuksai is the chef and owner of Lemongrass Restaurant and Sake Bar, established in 2006. Ms. Srisuksai serves a delicious Asian American-inspired menu using fresh, natural ingredients. She creates a variety of unique custom sauces to accompany her specialty dishes. Located at 64 Whittier Highway in Moultonborough, NH, the cuisine includes sushi, springs rolls, pad thai, red and green curry as well as duck, short ribs, a variety of fresh fish and more.
Ms. Srisuksai grew up in a small town in southern Thailand and relocated to the United States as a high school exchange student. She loved the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, and she returned to the US to attend college. She first earned a degree in International Business Management at Siam University, Thailand. Ms. Srisuksai then earned a Master of Business Administration in a Small Business Entrepreneurship degree in 2004.
While earning her MBA, Ms. Srisuksai studied with Chef and Restaurateur Mike Love. Her experience increased her interest in cooking and culinary arts. She partnered with her mentor Mike Love to open Lemongrass Restaurant. Today, Ms. Srisuksai oversees the daily operations at Lemongrass, managing everything from finances to staffing to selecting and preparing dishes. Ms. Srisuksai also produces a retail line of sauces, dressings, and seasonings available online and in several NH locations.
With 15 years of experience in the restaurant business, Ms. Srisuksai has never attended formal culinary school and instead relies on her natural talent for cooking. Looking forward, Ms. Srisuksai plans to expand her company, add more staff, and increase her retail line.
In her free time, Ms. Srisuksai loves to travel and experience different cultures and food. She participates in the NH Made Organization and frequently makes donations to families in need.
