New York, NY – Vivian D. Wesson is being recognized by Continental Who’s Who as a top Senior Assistant General Counsel for her work with Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc.

An active member in the field of law for over 20 years, Ms. Wesson originally began her career as an Associate with O’Melveny & Myers LLP, an international law firm headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, before moving on to work with Marsh & McLennan, where she’s been employed for the last 13 years. In her current role, Ms. Wesson exercises her abilities in legal writing, (re)insurance law, corporate law, intellectual property, M&A, and strategic investments. She also provides corporate support to Guy Carpenter as its Senior Vice President and Assistant Secretary.
During her attendance at Pomona College located in Claremont, California, Ms. Wesson studied history and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree upon graduation in 1993. She later went on to attend Fordham University School of Law located in New York, New York, earning her Juris Doctorate degree in 2000. Ms. Wesson earned her certification as an Associate in Reinsurance through the Insurance Institute of America in 2008. She also attended executive leadership courses at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France and the Wharton Aresty Institute for Executive Education in Philadelphia, PA.
Ms. Wesson is currently a member of the New York State Bar Association, in addition to being Vice Chair of the Bar Association’s Committee on Attorney Professionalism. She also chairs the Participation Gifts Committee for Phillips Exeter Academy, from which she graduated in 1989.
