Dr. Sebastiano pursued higher education at Adelphi University in Garden City, NY where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Physics. He studied at the University of Aquila College of Medicine and Surgery, near Rome, Italy, where he received his Medical Degree with honors. Upon returning to the United States, Dr. Sebastiano completed an internship in general surgery at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens, followed by a three-year residency in Family Medicine at Downstate Health & Science Medical Center in Brooklyn. He served as an Assistant Clinical Instructor at the medical school.

Highly trained and revered as a primary care physician with nearly 40 years of dedicated service, Dr. Sebastiano launched his private practice in 1989 in Five Towns, NY. In 1993, he acquired Glendale Family Medicine as a second practice and expanded the clinic in 2000. He continued his growth six years ago when he purchased Firstcare Urgent & Primary Care in Baldwin, NY, serving as the Medical Director. His illustrious career includes various positions that tout his dedication to civic service, including a post as a physician for the New York State Police; the New York City Fire Department; and the East Rockaway Volunteer Fire Department. He previously served as a crime scene investigator for the City of New York for ten years and was a physician with Air Ambulance Network. A certified Aviation Medical Examiner, he was a physician-on-scene at a jet crash in 1991, providing emergency care to over 40 passengers who all survived their injuries.

Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, the doctor is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians; a member of the American College of Physicians; the New York State Medical Society; and the Nassau County Medical Society. Aside from his professional and civic pursuits, Dr. Sebastiano is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has done voiceovers for television and film. He and his wife are the parents of three daughters, including a set of twins. He would like to dedicate this honor to his father, Ray Sebastiano, and his eighth-grade teacher and inspiration, Mr. LaSalla.
