Dr. William F. Shughart, II, is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as Professional of The Year for 2014.
Logan, UT/ Continental Who’s Who/- Dr. William F. Shughart, II, is recognized by Continental Who’s Who as Professional of The Year for 2014 in the field of Higher Education. Dr. Shughart is a J. Fish Smith Professor in Public Choice at Utah State University.

With a career spanning over four decades, Dr. Shughart has excelled in the instruction of economics, finance, and law. Before taking his current position at Utah State, he taught at the University of Mississippi and the University of Arizona.
Furthermore, Dr. Shughart has also taught at Clemson University and at George Mason University, where he also was a Senior Research Associate at the Center for Study of Public Choice. During his time there, he had served as Special Assistant to the Director of the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Economics during the first Reagan administration.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Shughart is also a distinguished author and is listed among the top five percent of authors at IDEAS. He has published more than 200 scholarly articles, book chapters, and reviews. Moreover, he is a member of the American Economic Association, Southern Economic Association, Public Choice Society, American Political Science Association, and the Association for Private Enterprise Education. Dr. Shughart is a Scholar of the Round Table Group, and is the Editor in Chief of Public Choice and the Senior Associate Editor of the Southern Economic Journal. He is also on the Editorial Board of Managerial and Decision Economics.
Dr. Shughart received all of his degrees from Texas A&M University. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics, a Master’s degree in Economics, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.
